As the creators of the world wide viral event, ‘The Big Dog Walk’, Kin created Wine Dogs, an event for dog and wine lovers put together to raise some much needed funds for the Winegrowers Association after Cyclone Gabrielle devastated businesses and vineyards in Hawke’s Bay, February 2023.

Held at Elephant Hill, event go-ers were invited to sip, stroll and socialise as they were treated to Elephant Hill wines and Omega Plus treat stations along the 3-4km track.

The event was a fast sell out, with GA and VIP tickets selling out in one weekend and attracting travellers from Christchurch up to Waiheke! We hosted 400 humans and their dogs, for a luxurious dog walk, followed by music, food and drinks on the lawn in the autumn sun.

A total of $10,000 was raised, with a top up from Kin and the help of Elephant Hill as the venue and wine sponsor, Omega Plus as the treats sponsor and our volunteers.

We plan to hold this event at Elephant Hill annually, with more sponsorship opportunities available in the future.
